I have had severe heartburn almost daily, for some time. Antacids worked to some degree, but Prilosec put an end to it. I have had none of the side effects listed, or any of the odd ones folks complained about here. Taken it for 2 years plus now.

I have GRID, (chronic heartburn) it appeared after I switiched careers (I am sitting down most of the day). My first course was 3 years ago. this is my second course. Side effects have been annoying - gas, bloating, headache, BM's are frequent. I have taken the medication for two weeks and will switch to a maintenace dose of OTC Zantac which has less side effects

This drug quickly stopped the heartburn and most of all, sleepless nights. I have just started with this medication, but I will continue it's use.
