It was prescribed to my 15-month-old for the first(and last) time. It gave him the worst case of diarrhea he's ever had AND a horrible case of diaper rash that included sores! I stopped giving it to him immediately and it took 3 days for the rash to clear up.

This medication was precribed to my 6 month old son to cure his ear infection. I gave him his first dose before he went to bed and he woke up the next morning with blood in his stool. We had to take him to the ER and they had to take an X RAY which we later found out was totally unecessary. It was a horrible experience, and I had no idea that there were such serious side effects.

Usually a good med for my 4 y/o daughter's ear infections. This was given to her for 10 days, went back and still had it, JUST as bad. Was scripted for Augmenten(?sp?) for 10 days. Went back after that one and it was still there. Now on Bactrim and am running fevers, does not seem any better. ENT apt for end of month for poccible tubes.

this was one of the anitobiotics that my daughter was prescribed after having her ear infection. She was prescribed 3 different at different times of course and it was the only one that worked. She loved the taste and was extremly easy to give. I didnt have to wrestle her to give it to her. It really made my life easier.

I have two children that took this drug, and it was ineffective. We had to switch to a different antibiotic.
