I have been on 25,000 d2 for 6 to 8 months weekly, and d3 4000 daily. D levels have changed little.

Vitamin D level initially at 28. Was placed on 50000UNT, 1 capsule each week for 8 weeks. Took another blood test after week 9. Vitamin D level decreased to 27. My doctor has requested I redo the treatment and check again, but given what I am reading on the Internet, I wonder if I am a subject in a test rather than being given Vitamin D3, which seems to be more effective. NIH does NOT approve use of ergocalciferol (Vitamin D2) as a supplement. Rheumatologist told me to take 50,000 units daily; could not tolerate; discovered ergocalciferol derived from yeast--to which I am negatively sensitive. So glad that I discovered that NIH does not approve taking.

Im in my first of 4 weeks treatment. So, I want to contribute to this "study". I have to take it for 4 weeks, the first 2 I should take a capsule daily, for the last 2 weeks only once a week... I started 2 days ago, so I will keep you posted
