I had gout. Took, as prescribed, 2 .6mg first hour, then hourly thereafter. The gout went away but then the diarrhea and vomiting started till I passed out. I had to be rushed to the hospital for dehydration and electrolyte loss. I had chills, disorientation and rapid pulse. This is a really horrible drug. Be very careful is you have a reaction.

I choose diarrhea over the pain from gout. When I feel what may be an attack, I take two at bedtime and reevaluate in the morning. If I have an attack, I take a pill every hour or two until I get diarrhea. This way I know I have enough in me to do its work.
