I have been using this drug for 2 months now and my face is pimple free - I did try to go off but am starting to break out again so not sure how long I can be on it without any issues.

I am on this medication for malaria prevention (during and after a recent 3 week holiday in Africa). I have always battled Acne since teenager. I have not had a single pimple since 1 week after starting this medication. Only side effect was had to use LOTS of sunscreen (lotion) as much more sensitive to sun now. I've heard that it takes more than a month for this medication to work and that's what is happening now. I am starting my second and last month of taking a single 100mg dose everyday(I only have random cystic acne breakouts). All in all this is good medication to take espcially if you have adult acne. It works as long as you take it as required. I usually take to crackers to easy the sickness.
