Have been taking Sotalol 120mg. for eight plus years (am currently 67 yrs. old). It has been very effective at controlling my atrial fibrillation. However, within the last year, there has been a significant loss of sexual performance.

Had Afib in 2008 and now in 2016. Had my heart shocked back into rhythm. Taken of Lopressor for Sotalol 80mg twice a day. 5 weeks in and some side affects have lessened. Second time I have been put on Sotalol, first time I only had taken it 3 times and my heart rate suddenly plummeted from 70 to 40bpm with severe thumps in my chest. I am now successfully back on it after a bout of Afib and collapsing and ending up in hospital. I was put back on Sotalol 40mg twice a day while in hospital for 4 days, this time no adverse reactions, and it is now 15 months since my l
