Initially worked well, then began to have more and more episodes of afib. lost 30 lbs and exercised regularly after that the afib worsened and would occur shortly after taking sotalol. have stopped this medication and afib has reduced. I am looking at diet issues and continuing the exercise. Might be hard for a doctor to believe but this medication made afib worse for me.

I had battled with a-fib, but controlled with a drug that stopped working after 15 years or so. Went to cardio. had all the tests ran and was put on solatol af--no luck. Fatigue, loss of sex drive, dizziness, spaced out feeling Lots of side effects, but it does help with Afib

Currently I am taking 80mg twice a day. I started out with 120mg twice a day, but Dr reduced dosage after a while. I have been aking Sotalol since July 2010 and have not any more rapid heart beat (AFIB) nor suffered any other adverse side affect. from this medication.
