I received Dilaudid through an IV to manage the pain immediately after a c-section. It got me super stoned but it didn't do anything for my pain. I HATED it because the last thing I wanted in that moment was to feel high. My doctor later said that Dilaudid worked on the brain to almost distract from the pain, but it never worked for me. I will never ever take it again.
