    I am new to this medication and it seems to be working, but it is still too early like two weeks so it could still be just a placebo effect for all I know. I tried Naltrexone and eventually drank through that stuff. I can't afford to get pancreatitis again it almost killed me the first time, got lucky the second time. AA and/or psychotropic drug therapy will not work for me since I tried AA ... Show Full Comment

    I have been taking acamprosate and have been sober for a year. I'm not 100% sure how it is working for me but my sobriety speaks for itself. I am slowly tapering off the medication and have not had any side effects so far.

    What a relief.Not sure if there was somewhat a placebo effect at first, but I found without a doubt that if I was too late with doses or missed doses, I found myself getting very upset. This stuff definitely helps my brain calm down and even out! I did get a rash when I first started taking it, and there may be some effects of diarherra or gas, but it's hard to tell due to other things that co ... Show Full Comment
