I found this drug to be very effective. I purchased the one used to treat irritated broncial tubes to relieve cough and to thin mucus. This worked great for me in a very short time and I feel certain kept my illness from turning into something more serious. After taking Mucinex, my cough actually became much worse. I took it this evening to help me control my minor and infrequent cough before trying to go to sleep. Now, after two tablets and several hours, I am coughing continuously and very uncomfortable. I sincerely wish I had purchased my usual Robitussin. I used the maximum strength version of Mucinex DM. This drug made me VERY dizzy and spacey, I felt like that for the entire time I was on the drug. However, it really does help with mucus.
