Mucinex DM was recommended to me by my NP when I was experiencing severe allergies with sinus congestion and a tight non-productive nagging cough. I took the first dose as directed with a full glass of water more than 8oz. and it did help my congestion and cough but caused me to have frequent urination and very weird foul smelling urine. Went to the doctor because of nasty green/yellow/brown mucus, she advised that I take musinex DM. So, that�s what I did. Had a tickle cough with junk in my chest that I could cough and get choked on. Took Mucinex DM to take care of the constant coughing and gagging so I could sleep. Woke up 2 hours later with severe cramping and nausea. Spent the rest of the day on the toilet with diarrhea and nausea. Almost felt flu like. Wouldnâ??t have blamed this medicine except my boyfriend was also sick and took one also
