This drug has helped me immensely. However, the cost has increased by more than 500%!!! In 2008 the retail cost was $91.43 for 140 ml...in 2009 the retain went up to $552.57 for 140 ml. This is unconscionable. Cannot something be done to reduce the cost of this effective medication?

I had used Paregoric for a brief time and I thought it was the answer to my pain, but it was discontinued by the manufacturer. I am now using the opium tincture (doesn't taste so good) but the painful stomach symptoms and the diarrhea I experience on a daily basis have greatly diminished. I am so grateful for the relief.

This drug has been a lifesaver for me. I need onl
