    I have been taking Slo-Niacin for about 10 days and have never had any of the side affects mentioned. I only take 500 mg in the evening at this time. It will be increased to 750 at a few weeks. I hope it continues to improve my LDL, HDL and Tri(s).

    I am Paul Pham ,the firt month doctor gave me 500mg tiwce a day.but not help.The second month the dose increase 1000mg twice a day the cholesteral was 240 ;triglycerides was 475, hdl :38 ;ldl :130 .(these result were of the first month)after second month with increased dose the results : cholesteral :156 ; triglycerides :176 ; hdl :90 ;ldl 65 .I am taking the cholestid medicine too 1000mg twice a ...     Just starting Niacin treatment after having lost 20 lbs. (yay, me!) Cut my triglycerides by 60 pt by adding 1 T. flaxseed meal to morning oatmeal so try this first! Re: Slo-Niacin, I take food with this, have only gone up to 375 mg so far, but had a pretty strong "niacin flush" last night that lasted one hour due to not eating.
