After seeing all these positive reviews, I’m convinced I must just be super unlucky. About a year ago, I was prescribed .5mg Xanax 3/day for my frequent panic attacks. I only took it for two days and had to stop because within an hour of each dose I was having extreme panic attacks. I have been on this medication for about 23 years on and off. I only take when absolutely required. Unfortunately now it is extremely difficult to obtain. I used to get the prescription from my GP but now I have to see a pyschiatrist who when called for an authorisation on the script was only allowed to prescribe 30 tablets without any repeats. For the first time since the panic attacks and ptsd started I was able to relax. I took Xanax as prescribed every four hours and It worked in calming me down but also made me severely tired. And if you do not take it on time you may start to feel symptoms of withdrawal similar to panic attacks. Itâ??s also highly addictive so you need to way the pros and cons.
