I'm on the lowest dose possible for Xanax and only take it 1/2 of a pill as needed. Which is usually about once a month. On months where my PMS symptoms are severe I may have to take a whole one at least twice that month but as long as I'm taking my regular antidepressants/anxiety meds then I'm usually ok with just half when needed. I've been taking the lowest dose of Xanax since 1997. It has helped me survive many days and years of life with horrible anxiety. I still have my issues, but everything is worse without this med. I try to work with myself as well. I have limits.
