The libido slowly waned and by late Oct. it was gone meanwhile you are a regimen of many supplements that are very expensive by Biote about 8 pills a day and a Prescription for a thyroid pill $300 dollar blood tests every few weeks $800 for the pellets and the initial pills were about $400. It was hard sitting for a week. I decided to quit and asked the doctor how long I needed to continue with the all the pills I never got an answer. I'm sure this works for many but not for me, seems more like a scam plus I gained 20 pounds.

I wish it would decrease my protruding breast but that's not the case. Receiving the procedure, at first, was painful because they give me anesthesia and that big needle hurts, but it hurts more when they use the needle it into my buttocks area but when they put it in my upper buttocks area, it hurt less. I hope and wish I get additional testosterone treatment, so I can no longer have man boobs, but that's just a pipe dream. Having man boobs sucks I don't have friends nor can I get a girlfriend. I'll probably never get married and I probably don't need to because I don't have any money. Isn't life grand?

T level was <200 when I was first diagnosed. Now averages around 500. Minor depression and loss of libido has disappeared. Very pleased even though I need blood tests every 4 - 6 weeks. Small price to pay.

The implant has worked great. I am 45, my sex drive is up, moods have improved, energy is back and migraine headaches are dramatically less. My only complaint of the overall process is that I've noticed that when the implant is placed on the face of the muscle, it takes over 3 weeks to close up and I loose between 4 and 6 pellets. The implant has worked great. I am 45, my sex drive is up, moods have improved, energy is back and migraine headaches are dramatically less. My only complaint of the overall process is that I've noticed that when the implant is placed on the face of the muscle, it takes over 3 weeks to close up and I loose between 4 and 6 pellets. When placed higher, at the top of the muscle, the wound heals in a week and I loose no pellets. My buttocks are defined due to active outdoor activities, primarily hiking and backpacking. I understand it can't be placed high every time. Might it be placed on the underside of the arm? Females have contraceptive implants placed in the arm, would this not work there? I do enjoy the improvements the implant has made, I will continue using it.

After several injections, he suggested pellets as more convenient for me i.e. office visit 4-5 months instead of every two weeks. Fantastic energy results. I turned a 500 sq. ft. weed patch into a verdant garden. I loved the hard shovel work. Turns back the clock from late 60s to about 40. I see beautiful women everywhere. The procedure is a bit uncomfortable: antibiotic shot on one side, numbing shot on the other before insertion. I am low body fat so doc has to work a bit to find a good spot that I don't sit on. A little sore for a few days and can feel a small lump of pellets under my skin. To avoid too much scar, he switches sides with each insertion. Sends for lab tests to check levels and PSA to confirm safety and medical necessity before repeat. Medicare covers only 6 pellets every 90 days, so I pay $4-500 for extra 4 pellets. The brief pain of procedure is small price for retaining the active life I want in sports, sex and mental clarity. Find a careful doc with good rapport. Totally recommend.
