Only side effect I had were weight gain and an increased prolactin level. Now, my doctor is taking me off it as my prolactin went up to 3 times the max limit. I've had slight paranoia from prolonged cocaine use and had problems on the job. Since using risperdal I've kept my job and have even been promoted. No more problems on the job

My 4-year old has been prescribed this for his mood-disorder. He has been less angry and less violent. He is very emotional though. Instead of raging out, he cries more. He definately has an increased appetite. Overall, I would say that this is a very effective medication for him.
