I read below that someone didn't take this medication for migraines because its for heart conditions. Its used for both and I use it for migraines and it really helps. I don't know too much but someone once explained that migraines are sometimes caused by high blood pressure and this medication is sometimes used to lower blood pressure so therefore it can help some migraines.

I have been taking 20 mg, twice daily for migraine prevention a little over three weeks now. I was having moderate-severe migraines almost everday. This has reduced the frequency and severity of my migraines, but they still are a problem. I have a follow-up scheduled with my Dr, I am thinking I need a larger dose, we'll see what he says. I have not experienced the tiredness side effect yet ... Show Full Comment

I started taking this med for abdominal and retinal migraines. It has worked greatly for me not getting ill, but I still seem to have a constant dull headache. I don't know if that is because of the drug, but I am definitely satisfied.

    Comment:
This drug has been a life saver for me- as a migraine sufferer this medication was prescribed to reduce the amount of headaches with a minimum amount of side effects (that other preventative migraine meds can cause). Inderal 120 mg worked wonders for me I went from 5-6 migraines a month to 1 or 2 with no side effects.
