After having a total hysterectomy which caused me to have terrible trouble getting to sleep & staying asleep, I was prescribed 50mg Trazodone. Pay attention to side affects. This is the first drug I ever had a negative affect. Dizzy every time I stood. Middle of night, I go to the restroom, have to hold onto counter. Have used for 2 weeks. Has worked well with the exception of 1 night...took 3 hrs. to fall asleep. Have very detailed dreams, but none that cause anxiety. Rather enjoy sleeping instead of pacing the floor. I'll use it for one month to establish a sleep cycle, then taper off.
