This medicine did help with the lower back pain associated with my UTI, but it also gave me horrible headaches and severe nausea. I am not going to finish taking it....just hoping the antibiotics kick in soon.

Directions say to take it with milk, so I did. DON'T take on an empty stomach, because that will cause nausea. Worked well, could tell when it was starting to wear off because UTI-related burning would start to come back. It took away my discomfort while the antibiotic was taking effect.

Will turn your urine dark orange, and stains underwear. Only helped somewhat after I urinated a few time after taking. You just don't tai it and it aces pain away, its not a narcotic. I had god awful nausea after taking. Literally 10 mins after taking my stomach was killing and i was soooo nauseated. It would take a good hour or two before it went away, and was EVERYTIME I took the med.

This has been one of the most unpleasant evenings I can remember, thanks to phenazopyridine. I took the medication as directed and after consulting the warnings, as I was waiting for my physician to prescribe an antibiotic. I've gotten no relief. I have gotten alarmingly dark yellow-orangish urine that stains everything it touches and has left me with a more uncomfortable and urgent feeling
