I had the paragard inserted yesterday. The worst pain lasted two minutes during the insertion its self. It was intense but short lived. For the next four hours after insertion I had much lighter craps that came in waves, so not constant but unpleasant. I took 800mg IB profen 45 minutes before insertion. (note: taking 800 means that you should not take more for eight hours.) I took 400mg after 8 h ... Show Full Comment

REALLY like my Paragard!! I'm 39 and had 2 children vaginally. I had Paragard inserted 6 months ago. I did take 3 Advil before procedure after reading the reviews on here. It was moderately painful but lasted like 10 mins. There was some cramping that night but it didn't require me taking anything. I've always had 5 day periods and very little cramping. Now, I have 6 days periods ... Show Full Comment

I have used this product for over a year now and had it removed yesterday. My reason for removal was the cramping. Truth be told, my uterus did not like the foreign object that was forced within its crevices, and each month when I had my period, my camping was horrific. I was told by my doctor that the cramping was not due to the product. However, yesterday was the second day of my cycle, which is ... Show Full Comment

I have had a multitude of unexplainable symptoms. Hairloss, proneness to infection, extreme fatigue, muscle aches, vertigo, diarrhea, nausea, extreme pain (and I gave natural childbirth and passed a kidney stone drug free), heavy, prolonged bleeding, and pain during sex. I actually almost lost my career, as they thought it was lupus. Thank god I'm ANA negative and was able to put the puzzle to ... Show Full Comment
