Used this drug 4 times daily after cataract surgery. Bad taste, itching, and white stuff in eye. After one week my blood pressure went up to 212/109. ER doc said this "might" be caused by the drops. Eye doctor titrated drops down to twice a day, then once daily over two weeks. My blood pressure was normal after that. My eye continues to feel irritated now 6 weeks after the cataract surge ... Show Full Comment

Used after cataract surgery. Caused severe itching and hives. Opthamologist doubted it was caused by this medication and prescribed again one month after surgery and itching and hives were getting better. As soon as I started the dosage the itching started right up. Stopped using immediately.

Prescribed for pre and post cataract surgery. Horrible aftertaste. Increases appetite. Concerned about side effects- delay healing and increase eye pressure.

using post cataract surgery--experience horrible taste in my mouth and "running down the back of my throat" Have effects as I have with oral Predisone--increased urination, hunger, heat intolerance--can not find out if I can have the same side effects with both

Question: Does this drug have cocaine or opiate remnants in it? The drain down the back of the throat makes me ask this question.
