I have been using topamax for 10 months and have had only 2 migraines. It does seem to make me a little "fuzzy" when I first take a dose, but that decreases within an hour or so. Overall, I have been pleased with how it has controlled the frequency of my migraines. I have had them for 25 years and my previous medication (Inderal) had just really become ineffective.

There are side effects that can be irritating such as taste buds being changed. Pop doesn't taste the same, and you can lose weight from this medication as I lost 5 pounds.

When I was on topiramate my arms and legs would go numb and I could not move them, I started to halucinate and have all kinds of mental problems. I also stopped being able to get an erection and lost all sexual feelings what so ever, including acheiving an orgasm. I also developed ... Show Full Comment
