I went on this after having a gran-mal seizure after having what i foudn out were partial-seizures for 10 years previously. before the drug i would get the partial-seizures (can't talk right or move to well or think straight) about once every 3-4 months. I'm still having them. Havent' had any gran-mal's though, so not sure if it's truly helping or not.

Tegretol has been very effective in preventing seizures for me, I take two pills before sleeping and am able to wake up rested in the morning. I don't care to take it during the day, it makes me feel dizzy and unable to function well.
