I have suffered from migraines for over 50 years and had about 4 a month. They recently increased to 10 a month so my Doctor suggested Botox. I had my injections a week ago. I experienced a headache within 2 hours which lasted about 3 days and then the neck and shoulder pain which are still there. I also have extreme fatigue, and also joint pain. I will never have the injections again, and am ... Show Full Comment

I have a headache and vertigo that never goes away. I had my first set of Botox injections 27 days ago. The actual shots were no big deal. I give it a 2 or 3 on the pain scale. You will hear a snap crackle pop when the needle goes in but the whole thing is over pretty quickly. Immediately afterwards I felt disoriented and wished I had brought a driver. The following side effects for the first tw ... Show Full Comment

After 18 years of being a migraine sufferer,(up to 18 per month) and trying many meds, no meds, chiropractor,ect.. I was hoping Botox would be my savior. No such luck. I have had 2years worth of injections every 3 months. I have had no difference in the amount of migraines a month. The severity has gone to more dizziness and neck pain. I have had muscle weakness and a droopy eye. I am very disappo ... Show Full Comment

Now 12 days post injections, I have severe side effects, including difficulty swallowing, hoarseness, extreme neck and head pain, burning pain down the right side of my neck. So far, I have had one migraine requiring Imitrex, so maybe it does prevent migraines. However, I do not trust myself to drive with my stiff neck, get dizzy, cannot go for my daily long walks, cannot eat regular food (only pu ... Show Full Comment

My neuro hoped the Botox would help with the 22 migraine days I have a month, but I have not received any relief from them after three treatments. The only side effects I have had are a tightened forehead and droopy eyelids.
