I was diagnosed in 1995 and I am doing very well as to moving around, my significant complaint is nerve pain and weakness in my back and legs. My former Neurologist is a leader in his field. Before taking ampyra, I couldn't walk without using a cane or walker. I also had a problem with fatigue. I had an opportunity to do a clinical trial and in the beginning doing a 6-minute walk I had walkeed 530 feet. Two weeks later doing a 6-muinute walk I did 750 feet. I FEEL SO MUCH FREER NOW AND I LOVE IT.

Been on this drug for about a year and can't see any improvement of MS symptoms. I have experienced few, if any, side-effects...maybe some dizziness. Am only staying with it for now because there is nothing else and it may be having some minor benefit that I'm not detecting.
