The medicine was an alternative PPI once the prescribed Nexium stopped working; with consistency, Delixant has had a fair amount of success handling the acid production. I have several ulcers and excess acid that travels back through the esophagus. At times, I still take Zantac OTC (generic: ranitidine) 150 mg during the day or evening. Two weeks into taking this, I developed an extreme yeast infection along with awful cramping of my feet. I stopped for a week and then my doctor wanted me to try again. Well, after two pills, the yeast infection is back and I feel like crap.

At first thought it worked great but started sweating even with little exertion and after several weeks experienced butt and leg cramps, nerves jumping in legs and severe weakness in legs. Within day of stopping Dexilant sweating disappeared, cramps diminished and leg pain less day by day.

My severe indigestion/heartburn cleared up almost immediately after the first pill. I thought I had a miracle drug but after the second dose, I had leg cramps, a terrible headache, pain in the middle of my stomach, could not form a thought and just felt like I had the flu.
