I have been taking the Prolia Shot for 5 years now and have moved out of Osteoporosis to Osteopenia without ANY side effects. Prior to this treatment I had a terrible time trying several other drugs to treat Osteo. I am so thankful Prolia has worked great for me.

I am leaving this review for a relative who, after her third dose, did not live to leave this review. I feel it is very important to warn others and hope it saves someone. I don't know if it was helping her bones, so I cannot say anything on that. However, I do know she had itching after her second dose. After her third dose, she started declining very rapidly starting several hours after ... Show Full Comment

I read pros and cons and decided not to have my next shot until a bone density was done. After 2 years my bone density showed I had dropped from osteoporosis to mild osteopenia. My doctor double checked the numbers - it was such a delightful surprise. At that point I decided to continue taking the shots and I supplement with Bone Basics daily. I love that I only have to remember every 6 months to ... Show Full Comment

DO NOT LET ANY DOCTOR TALK YOU INTO A PROLIO SHOT. IT MAKES THE PAIN WORSE. DR. BELLAM TOLD ME IT WAS FOR POST MENAPAUSAL OSTEOARTHRITIS. I HAD A COMPLETE HYSTERECTOMY WHEN I WAS 42. I AM NOW 60. THE OSTEOPOROSIS STARTED AFTER A CAR ACCIDENT. DO NOT COUNT ON HIM TO FOLLOW UP WHEN YOU ARE IN PAIN!
