I have had the Mirena for almost 4 Years, and am very satisfied with its efectiveness! After about 1 Year with the Mirena my Periods lessend,PMS went away along with all my worries!! No I have decided to have it removed since My husband and I have decided to try for another child (our 2nd) and I was wondering about the symptons and affects of the removal. Can any one help with answers??

Very good birth control. I've had it for almost 3 years and I have some pain,I spot it seems with the season change, nothing heavy.A little scared about having it removed although putting it in was not that bad.

I did a ton of research on birth control options, and was really excited abour Mirena. The insertion was slightly uncomfortable, and I had fairly heavy spotting for the first month -- both of which weren't that big a deal. My big complaint: it FELL OUT after 30 days! Pretty expensive birth control for one month (I paid $150 and the insurance company paid $500). My insurance won't cover ano
