I have been using Lactulose for only three days and all the sudden I have started to itch. It seems unlikely that something so sugary and sweet used for chronic constipation would cause me to itch, but my extremities are all itching, and I am going crazy scratching. I took just one tablespoon and after a few hours I suffered with very bad stomach cramps. It did help me as far as not being constipated anymore but the pain and discomfort wasn't worth it. I think from now on I will just double my dose of Metamucil which seems to work pretty good. But his Lactulose, they can keep it!!!!

I took lactulose for moderate constipation, and as I must admit it took care of that! But, it took me to the other side of b/ms with 5 or more painful trips to my then doctor.When I next saw him he laughed and said "well you said you were constipated!" This drug is for more than what is called minor constipation I have found, and should be fine for those who have a more serious troubl

to much gas and pain. not working with 2 table spoons. if dose is stepped i get dehydrated. migrains for first time 69 yrs old. lactos intolerant to milk.
