I hadn't had a bowel movement for two weeks and the doctor prescribed 4tbs of this a day. I took it for three days and didn't have a bowel movement. I ended up in the ER and was given magnesium citrate.

I was born with IBS, whole family has it, in the last 15 yrs I've had two Ischemic Colitis attacks plus Diverticulities on top of this. I take 2tbs each morning and I haven't had any problems except for the gas, but hey, thats better than the pain of very little bowel movements for days. I've also added crushed flax seed to my oatmeal each morning and I take lactulose at the same time

THE LAST TIME I TOOK LACTILOSE IT SENT ME INTO A SERVER PAIN RAGE AND IMMEDIELY SENT ME INTO HAVING A BLOODY DIRREA NOW A MONTH AGO I ATE SOME PIE THAT HAD A FUNGUS AT THE BOTTOM I DIN'T SEE IT TILL MY SECOND SPOON WHEN I LOOK DOWN AT IT COULD THIS HAVE SET AND MADE THE INFECTION PROGRESS CAUSING THE COLITIS TO KICK IN
