I have been taking 2mg of doxazosin for the past 2 years. My urgency to urinate has decreased drastically and getting up in the middle of the night happens occasionally. For me, when I sit for a long period of time, I have to go to the bathroom more often. Overall, I am pretty satisfied with this treatment with no side effects.

No need to go during the night sometimes once depending on time of last water. Prolonged erections. Delay of or no ejaculation, Although Using saw palmetto seems to help that issue.

I take 6 mg./day. Works very well for treating BPH. However, when I asked my doctor if my episodes of swelling of my face and tongue could be drug-related, he told me dozazosin is one of the safest drugs on the market. He sent me to an allergist who reported I had no allergies, but he did not investigate a drug reaction. I have since done more research on my own and discovered that I've been ... Show Full Comment

I have been taking 4mg of Doxazosin Oral for over a year and a half. As far as keeping me from getting up every hour or so at night to urinate doesn't seem to make a difference.
