My dermatologist diagnosed my lower face, chin and neck "redness" as eczema in April. He prescribed Desonide (0.05%) ointment 2-3 times a day. Condition usually clears up in one day and I stop use. I repeat treatment whenever I get another flare-up, maybe once every week to 10 days. Works for me.

I was given this Rx because I had pimple-like lesions on both sides of my face at the temple area. My Dr. said he didn't know what this was, but gave me this Rx.Desonide. Said he thought it was caused by nerves. I had some relief at first, but the skin condition came back. He still doesn't know what it is. I am on Tetracycline now. My son has allergies to just about everything - he is always covered in hives or some sort of rash. And usually with in 24 hours of using this lotion it is cleared up and he is a much happier baby.

My 7 year old son has a skin condition. He was prescribed the Desonide Cream by his dermatologist. I applied the cream before bedtime and when my son awoke the next morning both of his eyes where swollen. But...I also have a skin condition on my hand, and after applying the cream it worked fine.
