I have been on this pill for only 5 days. I have had several side effects already. I am very moody, tired, hungry all the time, no sex drive, nauseous, irritated at everything, can't sleep, hot flashes, then cold flashes, anxiety. I'm sure there are others, but too annoyed to think of more. Stopping these today. I hope this doesn't happen to you. I have never had these reactions ... Show Full Comment

I was put on Portia because of my underactive thyroid they said it wouldn't interact with my other medications and 5 years later it still hasn't. It's a super great birth control no weight gain, acne or moodiness for me at all. The best part is I used to have heavy periods for 6-7 days now I get it for 1-2 days! No complaints here!

This has been my favorite of the versions of Levongestrel. I didn't seem to gain weight, it cleared my acne up beautifully, just in time for my wedding, and I was on it for about two years until my pharmacy told me they stopped making it (lie). It wasn't until I went off that I realized it had totally killed my sex drive. I just thought I didn't want sex because I was tired or stressed ... Show Full Comment

Portia was the first birth control I was put on and I have been on Portia now for 6 years. I wanted a birth control that would not cause weight gain, and I don't believe it has. I went through a stint of mid acne 3 years in and has cleared up since I changed my skin care routine. I used to have 7 day moderate-heavy periods and now have it for 1 day with 1-2 days of spotting after. Within the p ... Show Full Comment
