I struggled for a long time with stomach problems. They diagnosed me with IBS. I had my gallbladder removed after having my daughter. Afterwards I kept getting chronic diarrhea after every little thing I ate. The stomach pain was awful. Now I take 1 GM of Colestipol Micronized every day and I am fine. The only time I have had stomach pain since then is from eating too much or eating a lot of fatty

I have been on this medication aprox two wks after haveing chronic diareah because of bile acid and it is like a wonder drug i am able to go out of the house more. i do have some itching but i use ecerin for itchy skin not sure if the pills did it or something else but in that two wks i have lost 12 lbs have had trouble getting to sleep but no trouble sleeping

I had my gallbladder removed in February 2014. I had the "dumping syndrome" before gallbladder was removed, and even worse afterwards. Nothing seemed to help. After being prescribed Colestipol, I feel that I can actually get out of the house and not have to worry about my next bathroom stop. My DR. prescribed 1 tablet 2x daily, but I found that this was causing some unfavorable constipat

Same as many here with the bile malabsorbortion after my G Bladder was removed in the Fall. Felt like I had hope to get away from the "Dumping Syndrome" when I found these reviews. Colestipol did good for the Bile Binding, but I had problems with one of the side effects - Anal/Rectum irritation. Started after Cdiff 5 times to help with the diarrhea. Has anyone else had weight gain using this medication? I sure do itch a lot, especially the palms of my hands.
