    I am 17 years old and have been taking this medicine for a little over a year now after I was diagnoist with Pseudotumor Cerebri, which was caused from an alergic reaction to an achne medicine. The good thing about this medicine has been the weight loss...hard to believe looking back that I was once 50 pounds heavier.     MY 14YO DAUGHTER HAD BEEN HAVING HA X 4MONTHS DR. SAID HA RELATED TO HER CYCLE SHE BECAME CROSS EYED AND I TOOK HER TO OPTH.AND SHE WAS HOSPITALIZED WITH PSEUDOTUMOR CEREBRI NEURO DIDN'T HAVE A GOOD ANSWER SHE WAS ON DIAMOX TABLETS NOT EFFECTIVE AT ALL IM DOING MY RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT SHE WOULD DO BETTER ON THE CAPSULES WHICH IS VERY EXPENSIVE SHE IS DOING BETTER BUT STILL HAVING BLURRED VIS ...     Pins & needles, food/drinks taste nasty. One thing that a lot of the write ups from the pharmacy's is that they don't tell you to stay out of sunlight. I didn't know and I got severly burned from it. This was a few years ago but just be careful.

    I've been on the generic for Diamox for 1 yr now and have been pretty satisfied with the outcome so far. My side effects have been: pins and needles, dizziness, and fatigue, which at times can be frustrating. It has helped the pressure though. Be sure to drink orange juice or something like that everyday though.

    I was diagnosed in june of 09 put on topamax 150mg 2x a day, 1000mg of diamox 2x a day, 75mg of imiprimine at bedtime and still no relief. I've lost 15 lbs and that has not helped either. vision keeps worsening, i can't put my head down, side effects from all the drugs make me crazy, but i can get out of bed in the morning without them i cant even do that so i guess it's a toss up!
