Crazy how medications can affect people in so many different ways, but it's not proper for people to warn others against using. This drug can help some people very much. I was on stupid amounts of Clonidine and replacing it with this drug has definitely made a difference for the better. High blood pressure can be tough to control when so many different things can cause it. A good Doc will find

Labetalol has done a wonderful job keeping my blood pressure as close to normal as it will ever be. When I first started using it, I did notice a slight calming effect, most likely due to the decrease in heart-rate. Taking this medicine and my bp is still 160/100 going to ER now so they can lower my pressures Hope they put me on another medicine to help me control it. Taking 200 mg three times a day does nothing for it all....

I just asked my Dr to take me off this drug. I never felt well even tho we cut back my dosage (then my BP elevated again) I felt like a truck had just run over me, dry cotton mouth, no energy and short of breath - that was the last straw. I need an RX but everything seems to make me feel like a dish rag.

I've tried many drugs over the years and some have made me down right ill. I am wondering now about labetalol and whether I'll be able to continue taking it. The pharmaceutical companies make me so angry that they can mark
