Dosage 1.25 - I have been taking Premarin since I was 32 years of age and had a complete hysterectomy. I will be 73 next month. Now my insurance says they will not pay for the drug. I tried an alternative for two months and cannot handle it. I am completely sane and without any hot flashes with Premarin. i have been taking this medication for over thirty years and i have had no ill side affects.with out it i have severe hotflashes which wake me 3-4 time during the night leaving me tired during the day. i transport special needs children and cannot afford to be grogy during the day. my bone density is excellent for my age and i believe the premerin is partly the reasoni realize each person is diff

I had a complete hysterectomy in 2000 at the age of 24. I started out with 1.25 dose for one year, then went to .625mgs for a couple of years, and have now been on .43mgs for about 11 years. I am 48 now, and take this medication every other day, and it is enough for me.
