    Big blisters...then popped to reveal red flesh...in 2 days time..Very bad skin reaction

    I developed a very strong allergic reaction from Mastisol after the surgery. I performed some testing to eliminate any other posiible sources: steri strips, medipore, needle, monocryl. I had doubles lumpectomy and the allergic reaction was so strong i had to take Medrol (steroid). My 3 incisions opened, and then I developed the staph infection for which I have to take double dose of antibiotics. I ... Show Full Comment

    I had surgery on the 4 hammer toes of my right foot. After 1 week my foot had healed well enough to have the sutures removed. No swelling, skin intact and normal color. Mastisol adhesive was used under my steri strips following the removal of the sutures. By evening my skin began to burn terribly. Returned to my phy. the next day.     After rhinoplasty, I had this product used and I broke out with rash and blisters on my skin. Leaving it raw, swollen, extremely uncomfortable and lengthening my recovery. There needs to be an alternative readily available.

    Comment:
    After neck surgery 3 days later began to swell and have blisters. Now entire front of neck is raw and weeping sores. This allergic reaction needs to be reported to FDA this product is horrible
