was unable to sleep due to burning(geographic) tongue. while at dentist prescribed nystatin helped for four days for the fungus on the tongue but the burning still exists but not as prevalent.don't know if these are two different ailments.

I was on high doses of antibiotics for many weeks due to an abdominal infection and got thrush from all of them. My doctor prescribed this medicine for me and after two doses I was in the hospital because I could not stop vomiting and I had severe diarrhea every few minutes.

With being an asthmatic I have found that when my asthma flairs up and the usuage of more inhalers are being used that I get thrush. It does seem to work but I'm now thinking that my body would require longer than a week on this in order to kill off all of the Thrush that has gotten down into my throat and stomach. I now keep refills on my prescription instead of always having to go to my PCP
