I am a 33 year old female recently prescribed 20mg of Cymbalta for Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and PTSD. Have tried multiple meds -- can't really tell much change regardless of what they are. Caution: don't skip a couple of doeses of this. You may get the feeling of electrical charges zapping your brain! really.

The whole time I was on it I felt like my body was adjusting to being poisoned. I woke up every morning soaked in cold sweat. It killed my drive to go out and do anything. Then there was the cost... Horrible stuff.

I weaned from Effexor XR (previously on 225 mg/day). I had severe muscle pain and rigidity,crying, irritability,blurred vision, pain in muscles woke me up. I was only on Cymbalta for 4 weeks and stopped it on my own. I told the Doctor I'd rather be depressed ! I went back on the Effexor. My Opthamologist confirmed that my vision had changed from the previous exam (I had just had IOL surgery.)
