My 5 year old son has been taking this to help with his hyperactivity, and he is also on the Autism spectrum. We have had good luck with this medication in calming him down so he learn during the day and manage his behaviors better. he also used to not sleep at night (he was averaging about 3 hours of sleep a night) for almost a year! now he is able to sleep through the night. its been a godsend

I am a 28 year old woman recently diagnosed with OCD. Experienced mainly obsessions, not outward compulsions. Risperdal seemed to work almost overnight. I am calmer, less anxious and feel like my brain is at ease and more able to work "correctly".
