My elderly mother (88) has advanced dementia and is resistant to hygiene care which she has been doing for several years. After trials of Seroquel,Trazadone and Depacote there was no improvement. She now is on a low dose of Risperdal at the nursing home with no change. She has been physically healthy and on eyedrops only. After having a nervous breakdown, I talked to my doctor about options in dealing with anxiety and depression. My doctor prescribed this medication back in 2008. Since then, my entire outlook and personality has changed.
